Part-time 4 hours ago Full Job Description Summary The registered nurse is directly responsible for oversight of the care of participants, for development and review of the Plan of Care for each participant, and for supervising support staff.
The nurse is a member of the interdisciplinary care team and collaborates with team members to provide for the physical, mental, and social well-being of the participants.
Duties All duties are performed in such a way as to comply with local, state, and federal guidelines for licensure and safety standards.
1.
Assist with admissions process and discharges of participants in collaboration with caregivers and the Director.
Coordinate admissions as necessary.
2.
Develop and implement Plan of Care for each participant and review routinely and as necessary.
3.
Coordinate Care Plan meetings.
Invite caregivers to attend as scheduled.
4.
Assist with planning activity calendar for the center.
Supervise participants during daily activities to ensure safety and participation.
5.
Manage and administer medication to participants.
6.
Perform routine health screenings of participants.
7.
Maintain documentation in participant charts.
8.
Supervise program assistants as assigned by the Director, including orientation, training, and evaluations.
9.
Maintain necessary medical supplies and equipment.
10.
Assume responsibility for the management of the center in the absence of the Director.
11.
Maintain confidentiality of participant, staff, and organizational information.
12.
Update and improve skills and knowledge by participating in staff meetings, in-service training, and staff development opportunities.
13.
Keep informed of policies and procedures and implement with staff and participants.
14.
Demonstrate leadership and serve as a role model for other staff.
15.
Perform other appropriate tasks as requested by the Executive Director.
Requirements GENERAL:
All staff members must be of good character and reputation; competent, qualified and capable of carrying out assigned responsibilities; willing and able to accept training and supervision; be considerate, understanding and respectful of the rights, dignity, and sensitivities of persons who are aged, infirm, and disabled; clean and well groomed; be able to speak, read, understand, and write in English as necessary to carry out their job responsibilities; be able to understand and apply the standards in this manual as they relate to their respective responsibilities; able to meet the requirements specified in the Regulation for Background Checks for Adult Day Care Centers; able to meet requirements for TB screening.
EDUCATION:
Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in Virginia.
The employee will have a minimum of two years' experience with elderly and/or disabled adults.
Must have a current certification in CPR and First Aid, or willing to obtain during orientation period Benefits RN's earn vacation and sick time.
No evenings, nights or weekends.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
