An MIT may be assigned to one or to several stores in the area in order to obtain the training needed to become a General Manager.
As an MIT it will be your job to shadow the General Manager and often perform his or her duties in their absence.
Strong leadership skills combined with the ability to motivate and lead store associates are critical to your success.

Principal Responsibilities ? Acquire and Maintain Customers ? Compliance with all applicable federal, state and local statutes ? Meeting company standards for quality, customer service and safety ? Meeting sales and revenue goals, implementing marketing and growth plans ? Provide a safe, clean environment for customers and associates ? Store Management ? Train and develop associates Essential Requirements ? Established selling skills ? Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in person and over the phone with employees and customers ? Ability to decipher, prepare and review financial statements and store reports ? Ability to execute monthly sales and marketing plans ? Managing inventory and cash assets ? Set goals and conduct weekly staff meetings ? Must have proficient navigational skills Physical Requirements ? Position routinely requires lifting, loading, moving, and using a dolly for merchandise 50-300 pounds ? Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching and grabbing as required ? Must be able to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliance, and electronics ? Prolonged driving and standing ? Must be able to work in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions General Qualifications ? Minimum 4 year total combination of education and experience providing the necessary skills and knowledge are acceptable.
Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
o Associate or Bachelor's degree with course work in business, accounting, marketing or management o Four years' experience in retail or other business emphasizing customer service, account management, sales or merchandising o Four years on the job experience in management or comparable military experience ? Ability to work Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8am and 9pm ? Overtime may be required ? Valid driver's license with clean driving record (MVR) required ? Ability to successfully pass company background check, substance abuse test, and acceptable reference check from previous employers Benefit Conditions:
