Supports current and future Emerging Technologies such as VMS Lifecycle, VMS MIMS, and the Tree Outage (TOP) model for the execution of vegetation management work in areas of bid preparation, time reporting, invoicing, work planning, tree work, herbicide work, new construction, storm work, and other unplanned work activities.
Solicits regional user feedback for operational technology used in vegetation management and identifies enhancements that can be implemented.
Works closely with software vendor partners, IT, and the Digital Factory to implement enhancements.
Performs tasks and duties required to maintain current Emergent Technologies implemented.
Supports new vegetation management technology initiatives that seek to improve forestry work processes and/or achieve cost benefits.
Supports LiDAR program execution as needed.
Performs field validation of technology products to assess tool accuracy and effectiveness for operational use.
Supports technology change management activities and may be required to provide education sessions to end users such as lunch and learns, review training documents, etc.
Supports forestry work management metric development and reporting to better determine the effectiveness of work planning and execution.
Provides technical assistance as needed to the field mobility support team to assure that all product end users, including contractors, receive excellent field support.
Analyzes data collected from field mobile technology to assure the products are being used as designed and providing the benefits intended.
Ensures systemwide work practices are followed in accordance with the related specifications, policies and procedures of vegetation management program.
Performs storm restoration activities, field observations or field inspections if required.
