Qualifications:
1.
Basic Accounting Experience 2.
Working knowledge of computer technology and software, especially QuickBooks.
3.
Willingness to learn and become proficient in Bridge of Hope donor database.
4.
Willingness to learn and become proficient in Bridge of Hope program database for data entry.
5.
An understanding of and commitment to the mission of Bridge of Hope Harrisonburg-Rockingham:
To engage Christian faith communities in ending family homelessness through neighboring relationships that demonstrate Christ's love.
Skills:
Organization; Self-starter; Clear and consistent communication; Reliable, Able to manage part-time schedule with appropriate boundaries; Able to function well in a social setting like a fundraiser.
Basic clerical skills.
Hours:
Average of 5-10 hours per week.
Working from office and virtually as needed.
Position
Summary:
Provide office support, financial management and development assistance for the Bridge of Hope Harrisonburg-Rockingham affiliate.
Responsibilities:
1.
Office Management (25%):
Become proficient in use and capabilities of Bridge of Hope databases, adding new contacts, and inputting donation figures and program data as needed.
Assist with collecting mail and making bank deposits as needed.
Checking voicemail and communicating with staff.
Making initial contact with program inquiries.
Keeping office supplies stocked and organized.
2.
Assist with Marketing and Development:
(25%) Assist with Great Community Give as it relates to tracking income and soft-credit receipts.
Assist with receiving, tracking and receipting income for fundraisers.
Assist with Locavore Fundraiser:
Managing Budget, Registration, Silent Auction, Working Checkout Line, Tracking and Receipting income as a participating member of the Locavore Planning Committee.
Assist with tracking Annual Appeal income.
3.
Bookkeeping & Receipting (50%) Assist Executive Director with entering gifts into donor database and running receipt letters as needed.
Oversee all QuickBooks entries for income and expenses of organization.
Reconcile all income and expenses on a monthly basis.
Develop Financial Reports for reporting by Board Treasurer monthly.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
