Sunnyside's Environmental Services team provides support for residents across all levels of living.
Contribute quality work to a historically exceptional senior living community.
These team members are a crucial component to our successful operation.
Housekeepers & Floor Technicians:
Thoroughly clean rooms as assigned following established techniques and procedures within scheduled time constraints.
Report housekeeping and maintenance requests by completing appropriate form within appropriate time frame.
Also reports all unsafe working conditions or equipment malfunctions immediately to supervisor.
Clean floors; dry mop, wet mop and sweep when and where necessary.
Vacuum carpets and rugs and put back in appropriate areas.
Use appropriate cleaning agents for designated areas; furniture polish treated cloth for furniture, damp cloth for window sills, etc.
Clean and disinfect resident and public bathrooms while checking and replacing necessary supplies to maintain adequate supply.
Clean stairways, elevators, entrances and exits inside and out removing loose debris.
Clean light fixtures, handrails and hallway pictures on a routine basis; use disinfectant for handrails if necessary.
Remove all trash from designated work areas daily and dispose of it properly.
Maintain equipment used to perform daily duties ensuring cleanliness and inventory of supplies.
This includes cleaning carts, buckets, mops, dusting cloths, etc.
Other Duties as Assigned Laundry Attendants:
Gather, sort, weigh, load, wash, iron, fold and deliver items to appropriate rooms on a daily basis within time constraints.
Collect and process laundry and distribute on a daily basis, ensure resident laundry is sorted and returned correctly.
Check condition of linens for tears and to see if they are worn out.
Ability to discern cleanliness of laundry; detect stains and sort by color and apply additional treatment if necessary.
Other Duties as Assigned Schedule Monday to Friday Weekend availability_ (+$3.
00/hr shift differential during weekend shifts!)_ Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in floor maintenance is preferred.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
