Summary:
The Administrative Assistant has the responsibility of fulfilling administrative duties at Eastern Mennonite University of Harrisonburg, VA.
The Administrative Assistant relates to faculty, students, and the public.
The Administrative Assistant will provide essential support services to the Dean's Office in the School of Science, Engineering, Arts, and Nursing.
Assignments may be confidential in nature.
The Administrative Assistant will fulfill general office duties including overall customer service, scheduling, and office maintenance and organization.
This person will also serve as special assistant to the Dean.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university preferred and 3-4 years' equivalent experience in an administrative support role.
Experience:
Administrative competence (general knowledge in Microsoft Office, phones, and email), office organization skills, budgeting, confidential compliant office environment, best practices of customer care and service PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities:
Responsible for customer service for directing and assisting students, staff, faculty, and guests to the Dean's office General Office Duties:
answer phone, receive/take messages, return calls from left messages, respond to services emails, handle general inquiries, place office orders, make copies, assistance with programming, schedule events, organize and monitor supplies and resources Serves as special assistant to the Dean Assist with maintenance of school's budget Serve as faculty salary liaison to Human Resources Office Manage the faculty salary/contract process Assist with faculty recruitment procedures in collaboration with the Dean Assist with special projects from the Dean Serve on a variety of academic committees in a support capacity.
Provide administrative support to the Masters in Biomedicine program.
Utilize technology effectively.
Google Calendar for scheduling appointments/meetings, Google drive for sharing and maintaining documents.
Assist with marketing, web changes, social media pages/groups, general planning of activities and events Collaborates in planning, coordinating, and implementing the personnel, information, calendar, and events components of the School.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
