The successful candidate will work with students ages 2-6 years old.
The schedule is Monday - Friday while school is in session.
School building hours are 7:
30am to 5:
30pm, specific hours for this position may vary some as needed, but would be within the school hours.

30pm Daily Assists lead teacher in all operations of the classroom Sets up classroom and helps children make transition from their morning classroom Plans daily enrichment projects with lead teacher(s) Maintains a daily routine with the children, including outside play, story and rest time, snack time and an enrichment activity Oversees the flow of the program and keeps the classroom prepared, clean, and stimulating throughout the year Supervises children in outdoor play.
Engages the children in fun outdoor games Keeps in close communication with team teachers and other staff members Cleans up classroom and outdoor area at end of school day, follows school lock-up procedures Follows all current guidelines for enhanced cleaning, social distancing Routinely Meets regularly with team teachers for planning, reviewing children, revitalizing/revising classroom Attends staff meetings, training and other professional development opportunities as necessary Follow established procedures and adherence to safety regulations Other duties as assigned Desired Experience/
Qualifications:
Loves working with children Respects and protects privacy of children, parents and staff Develops a connection with each child Maintains a positive and solution-oriented attitude Is patient, organized, creative, flexible, and energetic Desire to have fun in the workplace First Aid, CPR, other professional training Previous experience or exposure to a Montessori environment and methods Minimum of 6 months experience working with children in a certified child care facility or school Employment offer subject to successful completion of Virginia Department of Education and VA State Police background checks.
