Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a Receptionist Assistant to support the daily operations of our Residential Living department.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be one of the first to greet coming and going residents, families, visitors, vendors, team members, and anyone who enters the campus.
The primary responsibilities of the Receptionist Assistant are to welcome and direct visitors with warmth and sincerity upon arrival and provide accurate and speedy information to callers to assist in their needs.
Duties Project professional image of Sunnyside at all times.
Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously.
Take and forward messages accurately; notify staff members of emergency messages promptly.
Greet visitors and guests with warmth and sincerity and provide accurate information to assist them in their visit.
Act as a command base during fire drills and emergencies; relay messages and All Clear during fire drills and other emergencies as needed.
Perform copy jobs for other departments timely and accurately.
Be knowledgeable of the copy machine and its' functions.
Sell stamps, movie tickets, meal tickets and copies to residents and staff.
Collect or charge accounts for monies for items purchased and/or guest accommodations.
Sign out keys for specific campus locations as needed.
Handle monies and give change as needed using basic mathematical skills in order to maintain accuracy.
Maintain a neat and clean reception area at all times.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Basic computer skills required.
Prior work experience in the long-term care industry or working with older adults preferred.
Ability to work with confidential information and maintain its' integrity.
Ability to process information accurately, make appropriate decisions and take appropriate action based upon the information available.
Sincere interest in working with the elderly.
Be creative, positive, energetic, organized and patient.
Strong customer service skills; maintain a hospitality approach when engaging all individuals.
