You will serve our guests in the restaurant by ensuring that they are seated promptly, their orders are taken, prepared, and served timely, and that tables are cleaned and ready for the next guests.

Responsibilities:
Promptly seat guests when they arrive, take food and beverage orders, serve meals on time while accommodating any special requests Participate in pre-shift and department meetings to gain a thorough grasp of all products, services, and facility activities Receive proper payment from the guest and ensure the accuracy of the guest check and method of payment to protect both the customer and the restaurant from transaction errors Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant Develop a comprehensive understanding of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials so that you can respond to client questions and provide recommendations
Qualifications:
Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification Previous experience working in food service is preferred This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members Displays impeccable time management and organizational skills About Company The Doubletree by Hilton Harrisonburg is a full-service hotel and a well-established market leader in the area.
