The Automotive Internet Sales Representative responds to customer inquiries relative to vehicle, product, and services Internet inventory and offerings. He/She communicates with customers and prospects according to their preferred method of communication (e.g., Internet, Mobile/Smart Phones, and other electronic media). Working to grow profitable revenues on a continuous basis, the Internet Sales Representative maintains a thorough knowledge of dealership vehicles, products, and services. He/She is a well-informed adviser who is extremely knowledgeable of vehicle selection, performance, accessories, efficiencies, safety, features and functions, and financing options associated with our new and used vehicle inventory. He/She confidently presents new and pre-owned vehicles to our customers in an attractive and highly informative fashion that promotes a prompt sale. In addition, our Internet Sales Representative is expected to maintain an ongoing relationship/communication with our customers in order to encourage networking and repeat business. The ideal Internet Sales Representative will, post secondary coursework/education, be technically savvy, have a proven sales performance record (any industry), outgoing personality, and a willingness to continuously prospect in order to sell a minimum quota on an ongoing basis. The ideal applicant must have a strong work ethic, follow up skills, and auto dealership sales experience.
The following is a representative list of duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Work with Webmaster to continuously update the website in order to encourage repeat visitors
-- Take photos of inventory for inclusion on dealership website
-- Prominently displays web address throughout dealership, on business cards, in all dealership advertising, and in all other appropriate media
-- Expertly help the customer locate/select a vehicle, products, and/or services best suited to the customer''s needs
-- Satisfy the transportation needs of Internet-generated customers
-- Direct customers to product/services information resources, including those available on the Internet
-- Assist in selection and negotiate sale closure in a clear, concise, and highly ethical fashion
-- Complete all sales documentation in a comprehensive and accurate manner
-- Facilitate delivery by providing a clear explanation of vehicle and features operation, warranty, and servicing requirements
-- Maintain currency with regard to promotions, financing options, value-add products/services, servicing plans, and industry trends

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
