Estimating Supervisor
Description We have an immediate opening with our Arconic/Kawneer business for an Estimating Supervisor for our Order Pursuit Team in Harrisonburg, VA.
Primary Purpose of the Job:
Supervise Engineered Estimating Team, Drive Process Improvements to Obtain Plan/Goals;Evaluate and confirm requests for quotes and proposals;Work on ways to improve processes between estimating group and Architectural Services/Sales;Assist Estimating Manager with managing the team's daily activity and time/attendance recording;Liaison for downstream departments needing revision work from estimating team;Negotiate projects with customers/Close the deal;Assist Onboarding of new hires within the non-engineered group Major activities/Key challenges:
Motivate and manage order pursuit effort of team;Meet all project criteria including any applicable exceptions;Prepare bid proposals from customer request or architectural plans;Generate material take-off;Generate pricing for technical services;Evaluate and offer strategic alternate pricing;Maintain proficiency in all operating systems and tools;Communicate with customer and Sales to develop job strategy/product application;Provide pricing to customer and follow up on proposal;Meet or exceed closing ratio to support sales plan;Coordinate combined product pricing as required.
Coordinate pricing and schedules with outside vendors to meet quote request dates and project scopes.
Essential Knowledge & Skills/Education:
Strong construction/architectural industry background knowledge.
KaluCAD application experience.
Demonstrated customer relationship skills.
Demonstrated computer skills in all Kawneer front-end systems.
Demonstrated organizational/time management skills.
Demonstrated file management skills.
Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.

Qualifications:
Associate's Degree.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in construction/architectural industry;Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
